Sorio is proud to be a member of the 1% for the Planet association. This global network brings together thousands of companies and environmental associations working together to protect the planet and its inhabitants. Every year, we donate 1% of our revenue to associations that are close to our hearts.
ZOOM: The organizations we support
Their actions consist of three main areas:
1. Participatory Marine Conservation
Restore coral ecosystems using techniques adapted to different contexts.Work with local communities
2. Awareness
Raise awareness globally by using coral restoration as a tool. Promote the sustainable use of ecosystems locally.
3. Science
Collaborate with researchers to advance knowledge about coral ecosystems. Make marine science more accessible to everyone.
Their actions in the field
Waste collection and analysis: Three collection operations are organized each week for each mission. Each collection is concluded with the characterization of the waste collected.
Scientific collaboration The data collected at the end of the collections is centralized using participatory science tools.
`Awareness-raising Awareness-raising activities targeting schoolchildren, the general public, businesses, and local elected officials are organized throughout the year.
Their scope of action
Keep A Breast encourages young women to take care of their breasts, learn more about their bodies, and be aware of possible changes. Keep A Breast focuses on awareness, prevention, and early detection among young women between the ages of 25 and 35. Their goal is to inform and educate. They are constantly looking for innovative ways to reach as many people as possible around the world. They have developed a free self-examination app called “KEEP A BREAST,” a preventive measure that can save lives.
Sorio is also committed to tackling social inequality.
Sorio is committed to supporting women and teenage girls and is therefore passionate about supporting the menstrual cause among those in need. To this end, Sorio donates menstrual swimsuits to the Occitanie association UCRM (Union Cépière Robert Monnier). This association aims to work with people who are socially excluded or at risk of vulnerability, offering social support to help them find accommodation, housing, training, and employment.
